Kidworks!
The purpose of Kidworks is to support families in their homeschool journey through academic and Biblical
instruction. The Kidworks program operates on Thursday for students in Kindergarten through third grade. Kidworks offers a well-rounded program with core classes including Writing, United States History, and Science, as well as a variety of electives. These include Art, Music, Boyworks, and Girlworks. Families have the option of choosing full day attendance, core classes only, or electives on an individual basis.
Classes are instructed by tutors who are qualified experts in their subject matter. They employ a variety of methods and tools to teach the subject matter. Each student receives a folder with syllabi detailing Biblical principles, class goals, activities, and homework assignments. Homework is strongly encouraged at this level of instruction; however it is optional.
Holiday celebrations and special days are part of the school year also. On the special days, which occur approximately every nine weeks, students explore a scheduled subject matter through a field trip or hands-on learning centers at the Teenworks building. Students also participate in a Christmas and Spring concert. At the end of the school year, students take part in an Awards Ceremony to celebrate their various accomplishments from the school year.
